The Appraisal Department is responsible for determining the value of all properties (land & buildings) within the town for tax purposes. In addition, the Department administers statutory abatements and exemptions (e.g. Elderly Exemption, Veteran’s Credit, etc.) as approved by the Board of Selectmen. The Town of Gilford engages the services of Wil Corcoran Consulting Associates, Inc. to perform the appraisal functions and advise the Board of Selectmen on assessing issues.
