The Town Clerk – Tax Collector’s Office is announcing it’s new permanent hours of operation to the public. Effective Monday, February 11, 2008 the new hours to the public will be 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Thursday’s 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Previous hours were 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Thursday’s 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. The temporary hours posted on January 4, 2008 were 8:00 a.m. – 4 p.m. due to additional workload and staffing changes. The temporary hours will end on Friday, February 8th at 4:00 p.m.
These new hours are reduced by a half hour each day to allow for the new cash up procedure required for the state online motor vehicle process. I am working towards being on online agent within a few weeks (exact date to be announced shortly).
A drop box is located in the parking lot for payments to this office 24/7. Motor vehicles may be renewed online via “E-Reg” or by mail 24/7. Thursday evening hours are available for your convenience. More online services are anticipated and will be introduced as soon as they become available by the software vendor.
