State of New Hampshire requires that all dogs be licensed by the time they are three months old. The registrant is required to produce a valid rabies certificate for the dog and if applicable spaying/neutering certificate. Licenses can be obtained by mail with the proper documentation and fee. Licenses are issued annually with an expiration date of April 30, each year. Initial licenses are not pro-rated.
According to RSA 466:13 and RSA 466:1, A $1.00 per month late charge is due June 1 of each year. After June 20, upon instruction for the Board of Selectmen, the Gilford Police Department will issue a $25.00 civil forfeiture for failure to license.
Annual license fees are: Male or female - $9.00 Altered male/female or puppy - $6.50 Senior Citizen (1 dog) ~$2.00 |
