General Budget Review
Town Administrator Juris began the presentation to the Board by reviewing a memorandum dated September 6, 2006, relative to 2007 Budget Recommendations. Included in his presentation were an overview of the process with Department Managers and a comparison of the 2006 vs. 2007 budget.
Mr. Juris further pointed out that the Capital Outlay and Capital Reserve budgets represent a significant increase for the 2007 budget and are tied into the recently renewed Capital Improvement Program Committee.
Included with the memorandum of September 6th was a summary adjustment sheet, indicating the reductions and additions to each department’s 2007 budget proposal.
Following brief discussion, the consensus of the Board was to review the submitted materials on their own and discuss each department’s budget at their specific meeting with the Board of Selectmen. The first budget review will be on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. and will cover the Administrative Budget.
