Hello,

The Gilford Public Library has been selected as one of 200 libraries to participate in Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries, and has received a grant to help create a space for community members to come together and share insight into the many faces of the pandemic experience in our community.

As part of the grant, the Library is hosting a series of panel discussions on how COVID has impacted our community, and how organizations in our community can continue to evolve to meet the needs of our residents.

We are asking for participation in community cafe discussions from organizations and members of the community. The library will be facilitating these conversations and they will be hybrid programs, with the panel on Zoom and/or in-person.

It is our hope that you will be our guest, either in-person or virtually, and join us and other community organization leaders on the conversation panel. The Conversation Cafe has three different sessions, each with a theme.

  • Session 1, Seniors and Older Adults is June 16th at 6PM.
  • Session 2, Guardians, Caregivers, Families, & Educators is June 23rd at 6PM.
  • Session 3, Intergenerational is June 30th at 6PM

Please contact me to let me know which sessions you can attend, and if you'd like to be in-person or on Zoom.

Sincerely,

Kayleigh Thomas, Assistant Librarian
