HEAD MECHANIC

The Town of Gilford, Department of Public Works is currently accepting applications for a Head Mechanic. This is a year-round, full-time, non-union position with excellent benefits as set forth in the Town’s Personnel Policies. The starting pay range is $25.06 - $31.04 p/h DOQE. Applicants must possess a valid CDL, be certified or obtain certification to perform NH-DOS vehicle inspections, have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a fleet maintenance shop setting, be able to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods while relying upon vision and auditory senses, be able to demonstrate a high level of skill as a mechanic, and must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as-needed. The Town is seeking candidates who have a record of outstanding job performance with a stable employment history, positive attitude, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills. A proven record of dedication to superior job performance and teamwork is essential.
